Our street has a block party every July 24th,"Pioneer Day". We block off an intersection and everyone combines fireworks. The Finlaysons provide free cotton candy and snowcones. Others give out glow sticks, soda pop and other treats. About 5 years ago or so my family decided we would have our own little parade down though the intersection and throw candy before the fireworks started. The grandkids love it and it's now a tradition. It's fun to be united as neighbors and come together for this event. Thanks to the Finlaysons for starting this great tradition!Another tradition is to go to CanyonView Park in Spanish Fork after the parade with all of Grandma Jane Strongs Brothers and Sisters and all of their posterity. It's fun to sit and visit and enjoy the sloppy joes, chips, salads and cakes. We are very proud to be part of such a great family!

That was a fun day! I just wish we could have made it to your dinner too. I love the picture of the Grand Marshalls, its a good one.
Ya Sara. Thanks for taking the few good nighttime pictures that worked out. I wasn't given enough time to photograph the parade before we started. They look a lot darker than it was. Thanks for looking.
